Recipe Shoot

This weekend, my class had to make a food post. This meant we had to cook or bake something, take photos of the process, and post a page describing the recipe and its steps. Our main objective was to focus on the shooting of the ingredients and the final product. For this assignment I decided to make Mini Chocolate Tarts and really tried to focus on how I positioned my photos. I hope you like the photos enough to make the recipe :)

Dancers in Motion

Last week, my photography class and I embarked on a day trip to the NYC High Line, along with filmmakers, and dancers. Our task was to photograph those dancers in motion using the resources around us. The trip really helped me to understand photography in an uncontrolled setting, and helped me test my knowledge in the real world. My favorite spot was this small corner section of the High Line, where I took my favorite pics. Weston: Food

Edward Weston was a photographer who dedicated his career to photographing food. But this was not just any food, he took single fruits and vegetables and made them the subject of his photos. This week we were tasked with the same goal, and I decided to use a pineapple, a pepper, and a tomato. Initially I expected this to be easy but it really is not that easy to make a tomato look "different." However, I developed a lot of skills on this project and I hope you enjoy the pictures.
